Certificate in Facilitating Language Production
Would you like to better help your students use English for real communication (rather than just controlled practice)? Present and Perform uses a flipped classroom approach, putting the teacher more into the role of a facilitator of student communication and production. Highflyers (HF), Trailblazers (TB), and Frontrunner (FR) classes all require students to use what they've learned to communicate meaningful ideas, rather than just doing controlled practice.
Our course in Facilitating Language Production will teach you how to:
Use the language and knowledge your students already know.
Be an effective facilitator in the classroom, asking the right questions, and giving the right feedback.
Plan and conduct effective task-based learning.
Course duration: Six weeks
Group size: Up to 20 participants
Delivery: Online
Certification: 20-hour Teacher Training Certificate
Assessments: Reflective journal and interview with tutor
By the end of this course, you will be better able to do the following:

`What are interactive tasks for meaningful communication? How to use effective supplementary materials? Should we give feedback on communication and expression of meaning, or merely on the targeted language? The answers are all here. Anything related to psychology attracts me and Bloom’s Taxonomy (about scaffolding questions to support critical thinking) really got me excited. Besides that, Flipped Learning, a pedagogy that utilises students' prior knowledge in activities, is also fascinating'. (Jack Zhang, Teacher, Shenzhen)
`From this course, I learned how to ask questions with Bloom's Taxonomy, how to get students interested in the tasks and how to take on the role of facilitator and sometimes assessor. It helps a lot in improving our teaching'. (Vira Yu, Teacher, Shanghai)
