Simon Galloway, Distance Learning Manager

Simon started teaching English in Fukuyama, Japan, in 2004. He moved to China in 2006, working for English 1 in Yuyao, Wuhan and Shanghai as a teacher, senior teacher, DOS (in 3 different schools) and Regional Production Manager.

Simon has worked with the training team since 2016, where he currently manages the online distance course programmes. He is always looking for ways to help explain concepts more clearly and encourage more communication between trainees. Simon's book about online teacher training (called 'Teaching Teachers Online') can be found on Amazon.

Outside of work, Simon does a lot of reading and likes to travel (mostly around the UK these days), learn new things, eat good food and play with his two sons.

Special Interests: child development, how neuroscience relates to learning and memory, technology in the classroom, collecting and using feedback
