No working experience needed
You don’t need prior working experience to teach kids in China with EF. You just need to be willing to learn and we’ll help with the rest. If you apply now for a position at one of our Kids and Teens schools outside of Shanghai, we’ll even pay for your flight to China. Speak to a recruiter for more details.
Teaching Kids & Teens
As a Kids and Teens teacher, you will teach students aged from 3 – 18. Your students are enthusiastic and fun-loving, full of energy and ready to learn. As a teacher, you need to come to class prepared and ready to have fun. It’s your responsibility to plan engaging classes full of games and learning activities.
A job that matters
Not only will you get to have fun with your students, but you will also get to know them and watch them learn and grow. Your students will vary in language ability and personality. There is no feeling quite like helping a shy student become a confident speaker or a confident young adult converse fluently in English.

Job responsibilities
Work abroad to teach kids in China aged 3 – 18 in groups of up to 16 students.
Planning and delivering lessons to children.
Using electronic media and EF-developed courseware to teach efficiently and effectively.
Evaluating student progress and providing ongoing guidance for improvement to both students and their parents.
Assigning and evaluating out-of-class exercises.
Participating in social activities with students organised by your school.
Requirements
A Bachelor’s Degree
Passport holder from:
A clear background check
Ability to live abroad for at least one year
A TEFL Certification
If you don’t have a TEFL certificate we will sponsor you for a 120-hour TEFL, free of charge.

What is the curriculum and age range to teach kids&teens in China with EF?
Our curriculum ranges by age group. We offer a range of courses developed in-house by our own education technology department. Our kids are grouped by age ranges that align, with their public, primary, secondary school and beyond 3-6, 7-9, 10-14 and 15-18. We will provide you with all the training & technology you need to be able to teach kids of all age ranges with our award-winning curriculum and a supportive network.
